I have been wanting to know how to edit videos for more than 2 years now. This is one of my video edit uploaded to youtube:
Note that I am a software engineer developing web apps, mobile apps, understand and use some computer languages like Java, Kotlin, Javascript, Python, Php, Mysql, C++, C, Golang, Solidity Html, Css, and various frameworks. In recent years, I have been close to crypto programming, Bitcoin, Ethereum, EVMs, BNB, Polygon and so on. Particularly ensuring the security of Crypto applications and codes.
When I consume or watch videos, I do appreciate the persons behind the making of such video, whether the video is little edited video, or a big editing and animations and so on.
Thanks to one of my friend that introduced me to another friend (Jeff). Jeff did the heavy lifting for me. He introduced me to video editing and I am so grateful to Jeff and Mike(My initial friend).
Jeff gave me resources like youtube videos, links, verbal guides, software like Capcut, Handbrake and other resources.
I started with Capcut on PC, was enjoying it, until I noticed Capcut has been doing background update that I never wanted nor instructed it(was draining my data and also causing PC to run slowly). I started looking for ways around it. Jeff said I should try the mobile version. I tried it, and I find it very very useful and easy to use.
There are lots of tutorials and guides on youtube and over the internet showing how to use Capcut and the various tricks around using it. I am relatively new to video editing, but I can no longer imagine how video was made or edited, I now have skin in the game.
This is my experience.
